Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Assistant. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with established schedules
  • Clean and remove hazardous or misplaced items, waste, and spills, and dispose of them properly
  • Assemble and prepare cleaning carts and equipment for assigned tasks
  • Wash and clean floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows using various cleaning devices and solutions
  • Vacuum, strip, and wax floors, and shampoo carpets using manual or mechanical equipment
  • Scrub and clean showers, restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and drains, using hand-operated equipment and cleaning agents
  • Replace light bulbs, dust or wash light fixtures and high places, such as ceilings, using ladders and other equipment
  • Polish wood and metal surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify supervisor of supply levels, equipment malfunction, and maintenance issues
  • Replace, clean, and hang building fixtures and decorative items, such as curtains, blinds, and pictures
  • Move and arrange furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks or in preparation for meetings, events, and other activities
Additional Requirements
  • May be required to follow specialized disinfectant, waste disposal, and cleanliness standards in performing cleaning tasks
  • May be required to remove snow and salt walkways, clean sidewalks, drives, and grounds, mow lawns using mechanical and manual equipment, perform routine laundry tasks, and change bed linens
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position with varying hours depending on the schedule and position. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify identity.
