About the Role

O-AT-KA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing the maintenance department to support our manufacturing facility and corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Direct and manage the maintenance department, including maintenance supervisors, controls supervisor, TPM coordinator, maintenance planner, maintenance scheduler, waste water facility, and buildings/grounds maintenance supervisor.
  • Maintenance Operations: Coordinate all functions of the department, provide cost-efficient maintenance services to operations, and ensure all processing/equipment is safe and reliable to efficiently maximize production and meet quality requirements.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and manage an effective preventative maintenance program, utilizing the most optimum preventative maintenance practices to effectively and resourcefully maintain all equipment in a productive and safe working condition.
  • Capital Planning: Take an active role in capital planning for the facility, ensuring that all maintenance activities are aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company, federal, state, city, OSHA, EPA, and other regulations, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Training and Development: Develop, train, and orient mechanics and maintenance employees to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget, utilizing budget control of department operations to maintain costs of maintenance within budget targets.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years direct related experience, including a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, contractor agreements, purchase agreements, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, managers, customers, contractors, and government agencies.
