The Environmental Services Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff at PIH Health. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dust mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Operate and maintain environmental equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, and disinfecting machines.
- Remove trash and soiled linen, and replace with clean supplies.
- Isolate and clean patient areas, including changing cubical curtains and drapes.
- Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives to maintain a safe environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of previous environmental services experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, walk, reach, climb, push, and lift heavy objects continuously.
