Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping Honda Aircraft Company's global media and communication strategies. This key position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive plans to promote the HondaJet and Honda Aircraft Company brand worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies to promote HondaJet and Honda Aircraft Company globally
  • Conduct regional consumer research to understand customer decision trends and identify opportunities for marketing and communications insights
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets worldwide
  • Supervise the creation of press releases and other media collateral in English and Japanese
  • Plan and coordinate press events nationally and internationally
  • Oversee social media activities and internal communications
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage across digital, print, and social media platforms
  • Develop and implement PR and social media metrics strategies
  • Collaborate with Honda entities globally to strengthen the Honda brand
  • Manage resources and events within the division
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Linguistics, or Analytics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Media relations skills and a passion for communications
  • Understanding of social media and public relations analytics tools
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Open and effective communicator with a professional demeanor
  • Management skills with a focus on team member motivation and development
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Reliability, organization, and ability to handle confidential information
Physical Requirements

This role may require working in a fast-paced environment with equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors. The incumbent may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged periods. The role requires effective communication in Business English and the ability to comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions.
