About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon, where you will play a critical role in the development and integration of radar systems. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
  • Design and develop radar processing algorithms
  • Develop radar software requirements
  • Analyze radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods
  • Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
  • Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
  • Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
  • Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
  • Design experience in radar system areas such as antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
  • Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
  • Experience with technical writing and oral presentations
