Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist IV to join our team in Vacaville, California.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, this Radiologic Technologist IV will perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and excellent communication skills to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and body portion involved.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a specialty (CT) or one year of experience in a specialty with an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in that specialty.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California).
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California).
  • Basic Life Support.
