Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist in the Acute Radiology Department at MU Health Care, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This is a direct patient care position that requires performing technical work in prescribed procedures for diagnostic radiographic studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate various imaging equipment in the department to produce diagnostic-quality radiographs.
Work with multiple information systems, including HIS, RIS, and PACS, to manage patient data and imaging results.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and provide basic patient care to ensure a positive experience for patients and families.

Requirements:

ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of employment.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Work Environment:

This position is located in a fast-paced health care facility that operates 24/7. Rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends, are required. The physical demands of this role include ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds. The position also requires working in a environment where patients may have contagious illnesses.
