Job Summary:

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of radiographic theory and techniques, as well as specialized and complex radiographic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
Ensure radiation safety precautions are taken and adhere to policies and procedures
Provide basic information to patients and/or families about procedures to be performed
Assist Radiologists in performing special radiological examinations
Maintain radiographic equipment and adhere to safety requirements

Requirements:

Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
Registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); registration is mandatory within 1 year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1-2 years of hospital-based experience preferred
