Maintenance Supervisor 1 Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor 1 to join our team at the David Axelrod Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting maintenance activities, including building trades and shops for state and contract trades staff, state and contract custodial staff, review of purchase requests, assisting with laboratory renovation projects, and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support maintenance activities, including building trades and shops
  • Review purchase requests and ensure compliance with state regulations
  • Assist with laboratory renovation projects and equipment management
  • Collaborate with state and contract trades staff, state and contract custodial staff

Requirements:

  • One year of trade experience subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
