About the Role

Come and be part of a team that's shaping the future of the steel industry. As a Scale Operator at Commercial Metals Company, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling and manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in CMC's Safety Programs and uphold the company's Safety Culture.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Strong team player with excellent multitasking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in recycling and/or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts, skid steers, loaders, or similar equipment.
  • Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
