About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Oracle. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data platforms, reporting, and operational tools. You will collaborate with product teams to understand how to reduce operational toil safely and build scalable and efficient infrastructure to support real-time monitoring and analysis of all aspects of business data.

About the Team

You will be part of Oracle Health's Customer Operations and Product Support Organization, where you will work with authorities across industries and have access to the latest technology. Our team consists of people from various backgrounds and different professional and life experiences who support each other to build things correctly and enjoy our vacation time.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale data platforms, reporting, and operational tools.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand how to reduce operational toil safely.
  • Build scalable and efficient infrastructure to support real-time monitoring and analysis of all aspects of business data.
  • Mentor and help grow junior engineers across different product teams.
  • Create engineering and operations best practices for our organization.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of developing and shipping enterprise-distributed and/or cloud-native systems.
  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages.
  • Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.
  • Experience with Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
