Job Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member's expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentoring new technicians. You will also be responsible for communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians.
  • Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring systems), product specifications, and seasonality.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Be an Owner: Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, work hands-on in the physical area, maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety, and compliance standards, report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas, complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products, develop, influence, and inspire others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $26.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid state-issued driver's license. Acknowledge that the position for which you are applying requires you to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if you receive the position. Must be 18 years of age or older.
