We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee our Level 1 Licensing and Guardian Assistance Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Initial Licensing and Relicensing processes for Level 1 child-specific foster homes across designated counties.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of potential foster homes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Supervise the Guardian Assistance Program (GAP), ensuring all eligibility criteria are met for case closures.
  • Provide essential support and resources to both relative and non-relative placements within the Level 1 and GAP programs.
  • Ensure timely updates to placement records, reflecting the status of Level 1 homes.
  • Collaborate with financial and eligibility teams to ensure accurate and timely funding for caregivers.
  • Deliver ongoing training to staff regarding the Level 1 and GAP systems of care.
  • Maintain comprehensive tracking systems to monitor progress towards departmental and statewide objectives, including the preparation of monthly and annual reports.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A Master's degree is preferred, with at least one year of experience in child welfare or human services. A Bachelor's degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Child Welfare Certification is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hire; must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and maintain a clear criminal background.
  • Successful completion of a Level II Background Screen is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the child welfare system and applicable regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.

Work Environment:

The position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to various settings, including client homes and community agencies. The role may involve moderate noise levels and requires the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and moving items up to 20 pounds.
