Job Summary

Nursing Director FT Days Position Summary

This is a Department administrator role that establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standards and objectives. The successful candidate will direct and supervise staff as well as workflow, with budgetary or fiscal accountability. The position is responsible for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department, exerting a leadership role that supports the hospital's mission, vision, goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities, with personal computer skills required. Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers is expected. Self-motivation to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards and objectives
  • Direct and supervise staff as well as workflow
  • Responsible for budgetary or fiscal accountability
  • Responsible for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department
  • Exert a leadership role that supports the hospital's mission, vision, goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent minimum experience requirements
  • Five years experience in nursing management in a hospital setting with three years supervisory experience required
  • Current Arizona Registered Nurse License
  • Training in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider
