Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service face-to-face or over the phone to customers, helping them determine the correct parts needed, verify availability, and make recommendations.
- Parts Sales: Determine the correct parts and their availability, and complete parts orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Order Processing: Enter proper shipping information into the parts ordering system to process the order and generate an invoice.
- Backorders and Returns: Process backorders, returns, and exchanges in a timely and efficient manner.
- Team Collaboration: Assist the team with group and team sales, providing a link and collaboration between different departments during the sales process.
- Communication: Communicate with customers for sales, follow-ups, and addressing potential issues, working in a cooperative manner with team and superiors.
- Quote Preparation: Prepare quotes for service work, as well as engines, machines, and parts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Customer Support: Assist customers with basic issues or concerns by taking action, providing alternatives, or escalating the issue to the more experienced team member.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe and productive workplace, adhering to specific environmental standards and departmental guidelines.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years in diesel engine, construction or agriculture equipment, or automotive parts or service; up to 4 years of experience preferred.
- Skills: Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player, basic computer skills (navigation, searching), and Microsoft Outlook (email) experience, basic telephone experience, and basic customer service skills.
- Personal Characteristics: Customer Focus, Teamwork, Learning Orientation, Efficiency, Sociability.
This is a full-time position working 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Ziegler Cat is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. Authorization to work in the United States is required.
