Job Summary:

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Admissions Advisor for Diversity Outreach to join our team. As a key member of our admissions department, you will play a vital role in representing the University at college fairs, high schools, and other recruitment events, advising prospective students and their parents on admission requirements, academic programs, financial aid, and scholarships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the University of Arkansas System at college fairs, high schools, and other recruitment events to promote our academic programs and services.
  • Advise prospective students and their parents on admission requirements, academic programs, financial aid, and scholarships.
  • Perform individual reviews of application documents to make admission recommendations.
  • Collaborate with admissions department leadership to develop and implement recruitment and communication strategies for underrepresented and out-of-state students.
  • Develop and implement recruitment and communication strategies to increase enrollment from assigned territories.
  • Plan and implement successful high school visits, on-campus diversity-related events, and regular Spanish-speaking tours.
  • Engage with internal and external diversity-related organizations and government agencies to support the University's diversity strategy.
  • Develop project timelines and utilize CRM software to track outcomes of assigned programs and events.
  • Provide reports based on established targets for assigned recruitment territories and key programs of interest.
  • Analyze institutional recruitment data and data from testing services to target recruitment efforts for successful enrollment outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in the Spanish language.
  • Experience with University of Arkansas Fort Smith academic programs, facilities, student activities, and organizations or at least two years of work experience in college admissions and recruitment at a regionally accredited institution.
  • Ability to develop, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate various computer programs and CRMs.
  • High level of cross-cultural communication with employees, students, and the general public.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles and practices.
