We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team at the University of Rochester. As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Services department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Care Specialist will assist in the nursing care of mentally ill patients by implementing various types of psychiatric treatment plans. This includes coordinating group interventions and working closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver health care services to patients and their families according to the interdisciplinary treatment plan.
  • Implement the interdisciplinary treatment plan for assigned groups of patients, including group interventions.
  • Revises and modifies plan in response to changes in patient and alterations in therapeutic approach; participates in planning conferences.
  • Collaborates with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to deliver quality services.
  • Participates in ongoing staff development programs, workshops, and seminars.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have an Associate's Degree and one year of experience in a human services field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
