Company Overview: NY_OGS_Office of Mental Health is a reputable organization that provides mental health services to individuals in need. We are seeking a skilled RN to join our team.
Salary: $41,693 per year (based on 40 hours/week and 52 weeks/year)
Job Description:
Candidates will be responsible for providing general nursing care in a behavioral health setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care and oversight of care provided.
- Administering medications as prescribed by a licensed physician.
- Transcribing orders and documenting patient care, issues, admissions, assessments, screenings, progress notes, and medications.
- Oversight of patient care and patient care assignments.
- Participating in treatment team meetings and acuity meetings.
- Updating treatment plans and Nursing POCs, and ensuring follow-up interventions are taking place.
- Training newly hired RNs on the floor when assigned to shadow/observe a RN1, LPN or MHTA.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates must have:
- A current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS.
- A current CPR card.
- At least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Others:
Candidates must abide by the facility time and attendance guidelines, including time off procedures.
