Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bio-Analytical Instrument Technician to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. This is a senior-level position that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high complexity preventive maintenance on various instrumentation in the laboratory, including LCMS/MS, Ion Mobility, HPLC, and new technology.
  • Evaluate new laboratory instruments through experiments and suitability tests.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues, including communication, software, and hardware problems.
  • Assist in the installation of new instruments as needed and maintain documentation to comply with guidelines of inspection agencies, manufacturers, and department recommendations.
  • Maintain a high level of competency and expertise in the area of instrumentation through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Assist in special projects from the supervisor or other department managers and/or directors as needed.
  • Travel to other business units as needed to assist in issues regarding troubleshooting, training, etc.
Requirements
  • At least three to five (3-5) years of Bio-Analytical Instrumentation Technician or related experience.
  • Experience with LCMS is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing skills using Windows-based software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards determined by the department.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
