About This Role

The GIANT Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and profitable operations of the meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
  • Weigh, price, and label products to ensure accurate inventory and sales.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products to meet customer demand.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and ordering to meet sales and profit targets.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met, and quality assurance is maintained.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Manage the department in the absence of the meat manager.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Preferred Requirements
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
