Job Overview:
Join Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Field Service Engineer specializing in the F-35 Program. This role is integral to our Aeronautics Field Sustainment team, focusing on providing exceptional technical support for advanced aircraft systems.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Nose to Tail (NTT) Field Service Engineer, you will be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one of the following areas: Avionics/Mission Systems, APG/Vehicle Systems, or Supportable Low Observable/Structures. You will also develop expertise in the other two disciplines.

Your primary duties will include:
1. Conducting advanced troubleshooting and technical analysis of aircraft systems.
2. Serving as the technical liaison to the on-site customer, addressing maintenance and modification challenges related to the F-35 aircraft.
3. Documenting unusual operational or maintenance issues to assist in identifying emerging trends.
4. Initiating Action Requests (ARs) for unique operational challenges requiring technical or procedural solutions.
5. Providing on-site support and guidance to both company and customer personnel.
6. Leading multiple engineering initiatives and reporting progress to management.


Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Experience with 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft (F-22 or F-35).
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Avionics/Mission Systems, Supportable Low Observable/Structures, or Vehicle Systems/APG.
- A Final Secret Security Clearance.


Preferred Skills:
While not mandatory, the following skills will enhance your candidacy:
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer.
- Proficiency in Avionics, APG, or Structures.
- Expertise in fault isolation and problem analysis at the subsystem level.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Familiarity with engineering tools and software.
- An Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license.
- Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).


Security Clearance:
This position requires a government security clearance, and candidates must be U.S. Citizens.


Work Environment:
This role will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. We support various work schedules to provide flexibility for our employees.
