Job Summary

Contracts and Grants Negotiator

This is a critical position that requires a skilled professional to negotiate and manage research agreements with sponsors. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, researchers, and departmental staff to review and negotiate confidentiality agreements and research agreements with sponsors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Awards Management: 60% of the time will be spent on managing research awards, including reviewing and negotiating agreements with sponsors.
  • Post-Award Management: 30% of the time will be spent on post-award management, including providing support to senior contracts and grants officers.
  • Proposal Development: 10% of the time will be spent on proposal development, including reviewing and negotiating agreements with sponsors.
  • Other Responsibilities: 10% of the time will be spent on other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
  • Experience: The successful candidate will have experience drafting, reviewing, editing, and analyzing various types of agreements, legal correspondence, and other written documents.
  • Knowledge: The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of multiple sponsor's terms and conditions and advanced skills to interpret and apply complex sponsor requirements.
  • Skills: The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
