Responsibilities
Helping businesses resolve complex legal issues
Explaining business laws and their legal implications to businesses
Drafting and filing paperwork to be submitted in court
Negotiating contract terms on behalf of the businesses
Preparing and assisting clients with settlement claims
Ensuring that the business processes adhere to the State and Federal laws and regulations
Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
Qualifications
Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
