Position Summary and Requirements
The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for conducting routine and advanced diagnostic tests in both laboratory and critical care settings, adhering to hospital protocols and national standards. The technician calibrates equipment, sets parameters, and communicates findings to physicians for evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient medical records and assess their physical and emotional needs.
- Explain testing procedures to patients and their families.
- Identify and correct any artifacts prior to submitting results to the physician.
- Assist in the maintenance of EEG equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Certification as an Electroencephalogram Technician (EEG).
- High School Diploma or GED.
No travel is required for this position.
