Job Summary:
This Certified Pharmacy Technician role provides critical support to our pharmacists in reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication preparation and delivery.
We offer a competitive salary of $68,800 - $94,300 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program.
Responsibilities:
- Compound and/or prepare medications, including sterile products, oral, topical, controlled substances, and more, under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
- Deliver medications to patient areas and return unused medications to the pharmacy.
- Document pharmaceutical activities, including patient billing, quality control, and automated system updates.
- Provide customer assistance with pharmacy services, such as medication delivery, drug information, and more.
- Operate and maintain automated dispensing technology to ensure accurate medication supply.
- Manage inventory, complete expiration date management, and restock supplies.
- Assist with new employee training, educating them on job-specific functions and responsibilities.
- Participate in process improvement projects to enhance pharmacy operations.
- Conduct regulatory compliance inspections of medication storage areas, including USP797 documentation.
Requirements:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA.
- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy (unless enrolled in a PharmD program).
- Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred.
