POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role of the Extrusion Operator encompasses the management of machinery functions, including the transition of tools and fixtures, as well as the initiation and cessation of equipment operations, alongside necessary material handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute tooling and fixture transitions for various product dimensions
  • Initiate and shut down machinery
  • Oversee fundamental quality metrics such as outer diameter, color, print quality, and surface finish
  • Modify process parameters to uphold product quality
  • Load established process programs into the extruder and coiler
  • Manage materials as needed
  • Diagnose and rectify minor mechanical issues, escalating more complex challenges to engineering
  • Effectively communicate technical concerns with team members
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is advantageous
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in machine operations
  • Familiarity with plastic extrusion processes and material characteristics
  • Capability to perform routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs
  • Experience with quality assurance protocols
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Onsite presence is mandatory
