Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Goddard Inc. in Beverly, MA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and testing mechanical concepts for overall packaging strategies, mechanisms, and parts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to balance function, appearance, form, and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks CAD package
* Collaborate with teams to resolve conflicts among resources and between clients and engineering teams
* Communicate clearly with team members, senior management, and clients throughout the project
* Work with team members to resolve conflicts among resources and between clients and engineering teams
* Remain apprised of the progress of certain projects, paying particular attention to any developing problems, and participate in major problem resolutions

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
* 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, mechanical design and DFX, robotics, 2D drawing creation, GD&T, PLM, and sustaining engineering
* Proficient in SolidWorks CAD package
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to travel as needed
