Position Overview:

In a dynamic environment, the effective allocation of financial resources is crucial for achieving impactful outcomes. We are seeking a skilled financial analyst who can adeptly navigate the complexities of funding regulations and policies to optimize resource utilization for our U.S. Army Pacific client.

Your Role:

As a seasoned finance management technician, you will be instrumental in providing professional services and mission support. Your primary responsibilities will include managing travel, commitments, obligations documentation, and accounting systems for the Joint Training Team (JTT) within the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC) framework. Utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS), you will ensure the effective tracking and management of funds, including General Fund Enterprise Business System reports and Lines of Accounting.

Your expertise will be vital in assisting with DTS voucher submissions, focusing on quality control to support the Government's approval processes. You will collaborate with a diverse, Joint workforce operating in a non-standard, overseas location, providing essential support for U.S. service members during their deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate financial management tasks to enhance operational efficiency in support of security assistance and cooperation activities.
  • Conduct in-country coordination for facilities and support, ensuring effective communication with forward entities.
  • Assist in refining and implementing a comprehensive financial management system in compliance with fiscal and operational guidelines.
  • Provide varying levels of support to customer service, process improvement, and operational functions.
  • Engage in crisis-action duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Department of Defense or Government finance role.
  • 3+ years of experience in detailed cost estimation, financial analysis, or forecasting.
  • 2+ years of experience with DTS funding and management.
  • 2+ years of experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Title 22 and Title 10 security cooperation and assistance authorities.
  • Ability to travel within the Pacific region.
  • Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with military budget processes and procedures.
  • Experience collaborating with in-country experts and leadership.
  • Experience at a Combat Training Center.
  • Experience analyzing exercise budgets.
  • Experience leading support functions.
  • Experience in contract financial management and program planning.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
