Job Summary

Flatiron Construction is seeking a skilled Schedule Manager to oversee the scheduling activities and personnel for one District or mega project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project scheduling, with experience in alternative delivery projects, cost and resource loading, and development of time impact analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage or review all Division project schedules and narratives using company-established standard formats and software.
  • Assign and monitor Division scheduling resources to projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing scheduling procedures and training for the Project Controls Department.
  • Develop schedules that include resource and cost loading to accurately track and time the production needs and payment needs of the project.
  • Assist or assign resources to scheduling during the estimate phase by working with estimating and engineering teams to accurately identify the sequence of all project work to be performed.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
  • Develop or review all Project Baseline Schedules and narratives prior to submission.
  • Identify and report the impact of performed and delayed work by updating the Company-approved schedule and financial reporting programs.
  • Assist or prepare time impact analysis for any identified risk to schedule or budget.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve difficult production and schedule problems.
  • Provide project status reports to direct manager and Project Manager for weekly and monthly project update meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years' experience in construction project scheduling required, including experience in alternative delivery projects, cost and resource loading, and development of time impact analyses.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 or other scheduling software.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction building procedures and industry-specific scheduling requirements.
  • Proven skill and ability to identify and mitigate scheduling issues for simple and complex construction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive a team towards a common goal, using a common best practice procedure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
