Selected candidates will be expected to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, which may require more than 40 hours of work per week, including weekends. This position qualifies for Extended Work Time Compensation (EWTC) for hours exceeding 45 weekly.

Key Responsibilities

As a Supervisor, you will:

  • Manage daily operations within your designated shop.
  • Assign tasks and monitor the completion of work while providing technical support and managing the workforce.
  • Develop and review project schedules and budgets during the planning stages.
  • Allocate personnel and resources effectively to support all contracts, including shift work.
  • Oversee and assess schedule performance, reviewing ongoing and upcoming projects, investigating delays, supervising projects, and devising practical solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate project budget performance, reviewing ongoing and upcoming projects, enhancing productivity, and investigating budget overruns.
  • Handle personnel-related functions, including supervision, performance management, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.
  • Train and motivate staff in technical knowledge, safety, environmental practices, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with labor agreement requirements.
  • Work various shifts (1st shift: 7:15 am to 4:00 pm, 2nd shift: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, 3rd shift: 11:45 pm to 7:45 am).

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant trade is necessary.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the relevant field.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and similar software.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to wear appropriate protective gear.
  • Capability to perform essential job duties with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Apprentice Graduate is preferred.

Compensation Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $111,500

Please note that this range is based on market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
