About the Role

Viasat is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and providing technical direction to our Telecommunications engineering team or teams to ensure the design integrity of specific projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Progress Measurement: Provide timely progress measurement data to the project controller or project manager as agreed for each project.
  • Vendor Management: Deal professionally, fairly, and ethically with third parties such as vendors and contractors with due regard to commercial and contractual responsibilities.
  • Risk Management: Promote the understanding and application of risk management techniques within the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Skills: Proven experience with systems such as UHF/VHF Radio, VSAT, PAGA/EAS, CCTV, ACS, LAN/WAN/WIFI/LTE, and OSP/Structured Cabling Systems.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in the specification, testing, certification, and operation of telecommunications for installation in hazardous areas in an industrial environment.
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Citizenship: US Citizen or valid work permit required.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 20%.

Viasat offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $122,900 per annum, as well as additional cash or stock incentives, and a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
