Position Overview

This is a Part-Time role requiring approximately 20 hours per week.

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for providing transit services for program participants, facilitating a range of activities that support training, recreation, wellness, and employability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pick-up and drop-off of packages and provide transportation for staff as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to program participants, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist with safety and security measures as required.
  • Maintain a well-organized travel itinerary to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Utilize navigation tools to identify optimal routes, considering weather, traffic, and construction conditions.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure discipline and a secure environment while operating company vehicles, promoting road safety and minimizing distractions.

Adhere to strict documentation protocols for transportation activities, including logs, reports, and plans, in accordance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate records of mileage and fuel expenditures, ensuring vehicle cleanliness and scheduling routine maintenance and repairs.

Operate a variety of vehicles, including passenger vans, buses, cars, trucks, and cargo vehicles.

Participate in departmental meetings and complete all required training as mandated by corporate policies.

Handle student data with utmost confidentiality, adhering to company policies to protect personally identifiable information (PII) and mitigate security risks.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license in the state of employment with Passenger endorsements.
  • Two years of experience in passenger transportation.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
