Welding Engineering Internship

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support our Welding Department. In this role, you will assist in the development of welding production documentation and welder qualification packages. Your responsibilities will include reviewing welding records after production and ensuring adherence to specification requirements. You will also collaborate on various welding projects under the guidance of the Welding Department Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of essential welding documentation.
  • Support the creation of welding qualification packets.
  • Review production weld records for compliance.
  • Participate in the evaluation of welding qualification samples.
  • Conduct metallurgical sample preparation.
  • Understand and review welding specifications to ensure production compliance.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Welding, and Quality Control teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Welding, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
  • Familiarity with GTAW, TIG, and PTA welding is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad, and LabVIEW.
