About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager - Commercial Transactions to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. This is a critical role that will support the Commercial & IP Transactions Team within our Law Department, as well as our Privacy Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including data processing addendums (DPAs) and privacy-related contract provisions.
  • Maintain standard contract templates and develop related training materials, such as playbooks.
  • Manage the overall contracting pipeline, workflow, and efforts to update Delta contracts and contract templates, when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, including automation, and devise plans to implement those changes.
  • Support Delta's commercial transactions and privacy counsel with special projects and project management activities, as required.
  • Maintain internal Commercial Transactions and Privacy Team records, including executed copies of data processing addenda.
  • Coordinate collection of documents and information in connection with patent applications and other IP filings.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Demonstrate Delta core values of integrity, respect, and perseverance.
  • Quick study, with ability to work quickly and competently to prioritize, manage, multi-task, and succeed in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Problem solver with demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to develop creative solutions and work collaboratively.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an in-house legal department is preferred.
  • Prior IP or patent portfolio management experience.
  • Experience working with data protection addenda (DPAs) and Standard Contractual Clauses is preferred.
  • International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certification is a plus but not required.
  • Prior aviation industry experience.
  • Prior technology transactions experience.
