Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our dynamic team at PETSURG & ER4PETS, a full-service, 24-hour emergency and surgery facility in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities:- Emergency Case Management: Assist veterinarians in managing and treating emergency cases promptly and efficiently.
- Surgical Assistance: Perform animal restraint, administer medications, and assist in surgeries, including anesthesia monitoring.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform X-rays and other technical tasks with precision.
- Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and ensure proper documentation of information for our paperless practice.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, ensuring clear communication and compassionate care.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with coworkers, embracing a "can-do" attitude to ensure the well-being of our animal patients.
- Proficiency in Veterinary Emergency Care: Proficiency in veterinary emergency care and/or surgical assistance.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as a veterinary technician, including familiarity with emergency procedures and dog handling.
- Animal Handling: Ability to handle animal restraint and perform tasks such as kennel management.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of X-ray procedures and animal catheterization techniques.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills for electronic record-keeping in a paperless practice.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Work Environment: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
