Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Support Coordinator to join our team at Alternatives, Inc. As a Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses receive the best possible support services.

Your primary responsibility will be to investigate and develop community-based resources for clients, develop and monitor client Service Plans (NJISP), and engage in regular contact with clients as required. You will also provide documentation related to billing and maintain contact with external agencies providing direct services to clients on your caseload.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience working with adult individuals with developmental disabilities required
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Experience as a Support Coordinator required
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks/drug screen
  • Clear tuberculosis screening
  • A valid driver's license, no more than 5 points or DUI in the last 3 years
  • Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and Positive Behavioral Support Training
