Embassy Suites Atlanta is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Laundry Attendant. This position is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service that our guests expect.

As a valued member of our hospitality team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all linens and textiles are impeccably cleaned and presented. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where employees can thrive and advance their careers.

This is a full-time position primarily during evening or overnight hours, with a schedule that includes weekend nights from Friday to Tuesday. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading articles from washers and dryers.
  • Measuring and adding appropriate amounts of detergents and cleaning agents.
  • Operating laundry equipment efficiently.
  • Cleaning lint filters in dryers twice daily.
  • Transferring linens between washers and dryers promptly.
  • Ensuring laundry and storage areas are secured before leaving.
  • Sorting and pre-sorting linens to identify stained or damaged items.
  • Maintaining an accurate count of discarded items.
  • Folding and stacking towels, sheets, and other linens neatly.
  • Cleaning and organizing the laundry and storeroom areas.
  • Processing damaged linens appropriately.
  • Ensuring adequate linen supplies are available for each floor.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
  • Experience with laundry equipment is required.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently.
  • Customer service experience is beneficial.
