Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at Center City Housing. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform janitorial duties in public spaces, including cleaning floors, windows, storage spaces, restrooms, common areas, trash rooms, lobbies, grounds, and other areas as assigned.
  • Implement a routine cleaning schedule to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist in snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entryways.
  • Prepare rooms for rental and ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Be familiar with tools and equipment necessary for janitorial services and maintain them in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse populations and prioritize and manage cleaning projects.
  • Abide by current safety regulations as defined by OSHA, Fire and Health Departments, and other regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Previous building janitorial experience is a plus.
  • Must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.
  • Ability to safely navigate stairs and ladders, bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
