Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinical Research Manager

This position provides guidance, direction, and support to clinical research nurses, coordinators, and associates in the Hem/Onc Research Resources department. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated leadership skills and extensive knowledge of clinical data, data registries, and clinical research activities related to pediatric hematology and oncology.
Key Responsibilities- Oversight of multiple study protocols, including protocol feasibility, study implementation, and enrollment
- Management of research staff within the department, including coordination with State and Federal agencies
- Collaboration with Research Cooperative Groups, such as Children's Oncology Group, St. Jude Research Hospital, and American Thrombosis & Hemostasis Network
- Networking with Sponsors/Pharmaceutical companies
- Assistance to multiple PIs with day-to-day aspects of PI-initiated studies
- Inspection readiness activities for Children's Oncology Group (COG), industry-sponsored trials, and other applicable regulatory body audits and/or meetings
- Overseeing project budget and day-to-day operations
- Liaison with other departments and agencies for study implementation
- Ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical research data
- Facilitating education and information concerning ongoing clinical trials, as well as training and monitoring research staff
- Collaboration with Division leadership and Research Administration Leadership at Rady Children's Hospital & UCSD in planning, identifying, and developing new research endeavors for the Hematology/Oncology Department
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 Years of Experience
- SOCRA or ACRP certification
- Master's Degree
- 8 Years of Experience
- BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable. The expected hiring range for this position is $55.60 to $76.45. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors, including experience, education, licensure, unique skillsets, organizational need, and internal equity.
