Job Summary:

This position provides guidance, direction, and support to clinical research nurses, coordinators, and associates in the Hem/Onc Research Resources department. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership skills and extensive knowledge of clinical data, data registries, and clinical research activities related to pediatric hematology and oncology.

The incumbent will oversee multiple study protocols, protocol feasibility, study implementation, and enrollment, as well as manage research staff within the department. This includes coordinating with State and Federal agencies, such as the FDA and OHRP, and working closely with Research Cooperative Groups, including Children's Oncology Group, St. Jude Research Hospital, and American Thrombosis & Hemostasis Network.

The position also involves assisting multiple PIs with the day-to-day aspects of PI-initiated studies, ensuring inspection readiness activities for Children's Oncology Group, industry-sponsored trials, and other applicable regulatory body audits and/or meetings.

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing project budgets and day-to-day operations, acting as a liaison with other departments and agencies for the implementation of studies, and ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical research data.

Additionally, the position involves facilitating education and information concerning all ongoing clinical trials, training and monitoring research staff assigned to these protocols, and working closely with Division leadership and Research Administration Leadership at Rady Children's Hospital & UCSD in planning, identifying, and developing new research endeavors for the Hematology/Oncology Department.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree

5 Years of Experience

SOCRA or ACRP certification

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree

8 Years of Experience

BLS for Health Providers (AHA)

The expected hiring range for this position is $55.60 to $76.45. Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable. The range listed above does not represent the full salary range for the position but is the expected hiring range for qualified candidates. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors, including experience, education, licensure, unique skillsets, organizational need, and internal equity.
