We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Florida Cancer Center. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing epidemiologic and clinical research, with a focus on cancer population sciences, particularly in addressing inequities in cancer prevention, early detection, and survivorship.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research related to cancer population sciences, including data science, cancer early detection, cancer survivorship research, and health disparities.
- Participate in T32-TICART (team-based cancer research training) and explore independent scientific interests.
- Develop a line of research with the goal of obtaining a career development award and/or external funding to support an eventual faculty position.
- Doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., DrPH, M.D., D.V.M., DDS etc.) in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
- Excellent scientific writing and strong oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and collegially with colleagues.
- Experience in performing statistical analyses using SAS, R, or STATA programming language.
