Position Overview

We are looking for dedicated interns to support our Outside Plant (OSP) Division. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams and field inspection crews, providing a unique opportunity for practical experience, technical skill development, and mentorship in a supportive team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of an OSP Inspector Intern include:

  • Engaging in team discussions.
  • Daily on-site collaboration with construction teams in diverse weather conditions.
  • Gathering field construction measurements and revising construction plans to reflect on-site modifications.
  • Updating CAD drawings of as-built conditions based on experience level.
  • Assisting in quality assurance inspections and evaluations.
  • Conducting basic calculations, entering data into computer systems, and gaining exposure to CAD and GIS.
  • Supporting engineering personnel in technical assessments.
  • Generating technical documentation.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).

Qualifications
  • Preference for third- or fourth-year students.
  • Enrollment in an engineering program aimed at obtaining a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 overall and 3.0 in major-specific courses.
  • Capability to apply technical knowledge to fulfill project requirements.
  • Ability to understand and follow various forms of instructions.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving with some guidance.
  • Effective prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD.
