Job Summary

The Youth Development Specialist Case Manager for Learn 2 Earn is responsible for ensuring that assigned clients, youth/young adults ages 14 – 24, receive a coordinated range of client-centered services to complete employment and education programs through the Learn to Earn Program.

CCAP's Learn to Earn Employment, Training, and Education Programs assist the youth of Rhode Island ages 14 – 24 through free education, training programs, Work Readiness and Job Placement assistance. We provide a full range of services to youth enrolled in school and out of school. All enrollees are connected with a case manager to assist them in their education or employment goals throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management to youth/young adults ages 14 – 24 enrolled in employment and education programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake and assessments on clients.
  • Monitors cases by verifying clients' attendance; observing and evaluating service strategy and responses; advocating for needed services; obtaining additional resources; intervening in crises; providing personal support.
  • Develop and guide youth through a service/plan in accordance with provisions stated by grant.
  • Track and record case information, complete forms and produce monthly attendance and case note reports.
  • Answer inquiries from potential program partners and incoming youth.
  • Develop ways to retain youth (ages through motivation and encouragement.
  • Outreach and network with other youth serving programs and High Schools.
Requirements
  • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred, with 2-year experience in related field and/or relevant life experiences.
  • Must have demonstrated case management skills and experience, knowledge of youth development.
  • Experience working with inner city youth, human relations, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft and Google platforms.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability insurance.
  • Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations.
