Role Overview: The Lead Pharmacy Manager will oversee the compliance with pharmacy protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role is essential in ensuring that all operations align with company policies as well as state and federal regulations. The Lead Pharmacy Manager will guarantee the safe and accurate distribution of medical products to client facilities, working under the general guidance of the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess medication orders for suitability regarding drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration methods.
  • Ensure that dispensed medications are accurately supplied and properly labeled.
  • Advise on therapy modifications to physicians and facility staff when necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of customers, including medical history and clinical data.
  • Address and resolve medication-related inquiries.
  • Engage with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related matters.
  • Supervise the preparation of medications.
  • Keep a record of controlled substances for legal compliance and inventory management.
  • Ensure secure storage conditions for medications.
  • Perform on-call duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
  • 5-10 years of experience in hospital and retail pharmacy or related medical fields.
  • Experience in Long-Term Care is preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with Framework / ECM software is advantageous.
