Patient Transporter

Job Summary:
Sentara Healthcare is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely escort and transport patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics.
The ideal candidate will strictly adhere to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara, communicate clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients, and ensure adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients within the hospital
- Communicate effectively with staff, visitors, and patients
- Adhere to safety rules and initiatives
- Ensure clear communication between departments
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Patient care experience preferred
