Key Responsibilities- Customer Interaction: Greet and consult customers on service needs, perform a thorough vehicle walk-around inspection as part of the write-up.
- Sales and Upselling: Sell and up-sell services by emphasizing value.
- Estimation and Repair: Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs, disassemble damaged vehicles in a neat and organized manner.
- Body Repair: Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders, fill depressions with body filler, remove damaged fenders, panels, and bolt or weld replacement parts in position.
- Frame and Alignment: Straighten bent automobile frames, file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake system.
- Mechanical Repair: Repair or replace defective mechanical parts.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a vehicle body repairer or apprentice.
- Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles, ability to interpret industry repair procedures and Manufacturer Guidelines for repair.
- Personal Qualities: High level of attention to detail, flexibility, strong verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, self-driven individual, ability to work with minimal direction.
