Role Overview

Solventum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Brookings, SD. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components, including bearings, bushings, gear boxes, transmissions, motors, conveyor belts, pump seals, brakes, clutches, and drives.
  • Perform basic machining using precision measuring equipment.
  • Repair and replace piping, tubing, and associated fittings.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operation of mechanical systems.
Requirements
  • Possess an associate degree in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of maintenance experience in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic.
  • Industrial motor drive controls troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with electrical equipment.
  • Industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
