We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bilingual Youth Service Specialist to join our team at CJR. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to our youth and families, promoting positive outcomes and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Key Responsibilities- Resource Development: Research and maintain a comprehensive list of community resources, including grassroots agencies, prosocial connections, mental or medical health services, and other relevant organizations.
- Community Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with community providers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet the needs of our youth and families.
- Intervention Facilitation: Facilitate cognitive-behavioral and Life Skills groups, addressing risk-relevant factors and promoting positive behaviors.
- Support and Referral: Serve as a resource to Juvenile Probation Officers, providing information and support to help them make informed decisions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Family Advocate to identify community resources and facilitate connections between youth and families.
- Language Proficiency: Required to speak Spanish and English to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Community Organizing, Human Services, Sociology, or at least 3 years' experience working with the juvenile justice system and/or communities.
- Skills and Abilities: Effective engagement skills, communication proficiency, collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
