Job Summary

As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist at HonorHealth, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a radiologist. This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. You will be responsible for tasks and procedures as assigned, including data entry operations using hospital software packages. Staff members may be required to provide coverage at various locations within the network.

  • Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols with the radiologist as needed. Transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment. Perform radiology procedures and observe patients during the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort. Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reactions as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating daily workflow for the department's activities. Maintain equipment in efficient operating order, perform and document required quality control testing, and contact service for repair and maintenance as directed.
  • Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate. Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas. Maintain stock and inventory as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED completion of an ARRT-accredited program.
  • Successful completion of radiologic training.
  • ARRT (R) credential and licensure must be provided prior to start date.
  • CRT (LC) AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist license and must be provided prior to start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
