Our client, The Judge Group, is actively searching for a dynamic Sales Manager with a robust hunter mentality. This role is essential for driving growth by nurturing existing accounts and acquiring new clientele. The designated territory encompasses various regions, providing a unique opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a defined sales territory, ensuring monthly targets for volume and profitability are met.
- Regularly engage with current retail grocery outlets, butcher shops, and foodservice clients based on their specific requirements.
- Continuously seek out new business opportunities on a daily basis.
- Formulate and implement strategic business plans for each account.
- Effectively manage time and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Handle pricing strategies and ensure compliance with credit terms.
- Present and promote a diverse range of perishable products, including poultry, fresh meat, and deli items.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills in a timely and innovative manner.
- Be a proactive self-starter capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Essential Competencies:
- Possess a solid understanding of retail grocery and foodservice products.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product details, pricing, availability, and usage. Provide necessary training and information to customer staff as required.
- Utilize personal transportation for client visits and company engagements.
- Communicate effectively to manage accounts receivable, collaborating with the credit department to ensure timely collections.
- Coordinate deliveries according to the established routing schedule, addressing any issues that may arise during the order fulfillment process.
- Engage in company events and promotional activities, participating in monthly sales meetings.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through training sessions.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members as needed.
- Analyze various reports, including sales and profit margins, to assess performance.
- Handle administrative tasks such as preparing weekly call plans, processing credits, and generating price quotes.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in sales, particularly within the retail grocery sector.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation Structure: The compensation model is entirely commission-based following the training phase, with a salary provided during this period. Earnings potential is uncapped, complemented by a monthly vehicle allowance, gas card, and cell phone. Benefits include a 401k match.
